Position Summary
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and established clinical standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, delegates appropriate care activities, and ensures safe, high-quality outcomes for observation patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care using evidence-based nursing practice
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update plans of care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to support staff
Identify patient safety risks related to diagnosis, medications, procedures, and age
Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development
