Med/Surg is a great place to gain confidence in your nursing skills as you will see a variety of patients and diagnoses. Essentia Health in Fargo is a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Our Neuro unit sees Stroke patients, Post-op back and neck surgeries, Patients needing a neurological work-up for dizziness, confusion, and weakness, Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients. Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.

Requirements
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
- RN License
