Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Lead and supervise clinical staff such as care coordinator, medication techs and caregivers s to ensure high standards of patient care and adherence to healthcare regulations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ health status, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication management in compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate therapy, hospice, diagnostic evaluations, medication administration, and other items as needed.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems .
- Manage resident care plans.
- Promote a positive environment by fostering team management strategies that support staff development, effective communication, and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living and memory care settings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience managing multidisciplinary teams within healthcare environments.
- Extensive knowledge of senior care practices including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory support programs.
- Experience working with EMR systems like Point Click Care; strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care regulations.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to manage care facility teams effectively while ensuring policy compliance.
