American Traveler is hiring a M/S Tele Float Pool RN requiring 2 years of acute care and travel nursing experience to float across 8 units on evenings and every other weekend.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow

• Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients

• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights

• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital

• Evening shift 11:00-23:30 with every other weekend required

• Days/Eves rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract

• Uses Epic EMR

• 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)

• AHA BLS certification required

• AHA ACLS certification required

• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required

• 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse required

• Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours

• Experience with TR Band required

• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips

• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips

• Must be willing to float between 8 different Med/Surg Tele units as needed

• Free on-site parking available

• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility in Boston
