*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daylight RN Cart Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care directly at patient bedsides, utilizing mobile carts equipped with essential medical supplies and technology. Your expertise will ensure seamless patient assessments, medication administration, and coordination of care in a fast-paced environment.   • Deliver direct patient care using mobile carts, including vital signs assessment, medication administration, and physical examinations
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physiological evaluations, to inform individualized care plans
  • Administer injections, IV infusions, and medications accurately following established protocols and medical documentation standards
  • Maintain sterile technique during procedures such as catheterization, phlebotomy, and specimen collection / processing
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document all patient interactions, treatments, and medical records precisely
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes
  • Ensure infection control practices are followed rigorously, including aseptic technique and equipment sterilization

*Skills*

  • Proven experience working in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine with familiarity in Level I Trauma Center procedures
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
  • Skilled in IV insertion, catheter care, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and airway management techniques
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation
  • Experience with nursing management tasks including supervising staff or team management responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards for accurate medical billing and documentation compliance
  • Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), sterile processing techniques, and infection control standards are required
  • Excellent patient assessment skills combined with strong communication abilities for effective health coaching and triage support
