Summary

At Presbyterian, our GI Lab team is dedicated to providing exceptional procedural care in a patient-centered environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab and support patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

As a GI Lab RN, you will collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality care throughout the patient journey, from pre-procedure assessment through recovery and discharge.

Responsibilities

Sign on bonus and relocation bonus for qualified candidates

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures. Perform pre-procedure assessments and ensure patient readiness for treatment. Monitor patients during procedures and throughout the recovery process.

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols. Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.

Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other clinical team members to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Support quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Assist with procedural flow and patient throughput to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

Education

Associates Degree in Nursing

Licensure

State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.

The following certifications are required

  • BLS: All RN roles
  • ACLS
  • PALS
