Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Day Weekend Package! This energetic role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care within a long-term care facility & skilled care. As an RN, you will be at the forefront of patient assessment, treatment, and education, ensuring each individual receives compassionate and comprehensive care. This position is perfect for motivated nurses eager to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a balanced weekend schedule that promotes work-life harmony.
*Duties*
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations.
- Administer medications
- Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound care, and tube feeding while maintaining sterile processing standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning, case management strategies, and coordinate post-acute or home & community care.
- Utilize Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation and medical records management.
- Respond promptly to acute pain management needs.
*Qualifications*
- Valid RN license with current registration in Iowa; experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics highly preferred.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine practices, and occupational health protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and vital signs assessment.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and manage airway needs confidently.
