Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with the leading medical research center in the world. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on-site with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Baltimore, MD providing support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute on Aging.
Duties
- Perform assessments, collect medical histories and physicals, and monitor participant’s physiological condition upon admission, throughout their visit, discharge, and follow-up.
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per protocol and good clinical practices.

- Perform testing procedures on night shift as required per protocol or schedules.
- Obtain informed consent after training and PI approval.
- Provide daily shift reports; enter clinical/research data into records and computer systems.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, IV placement/maintenance, administer/document medications, and provide cardiac monitoring as needed.
- Assess, record, and report patient reactions to medications, including adverse events. • Educate participants and families on conditions, treatments, medications, research programs, and testing procedures.
- Implement emergency/illness action plans, possibly including direct admissions.
- Integrate research protocol requirements into patient care; comply with policies and regulatory guidelines, including waste disposal.
- Implement quality control measures and perform specialized testing after training.
- Insert and maintain peripheral access intravenous (IV) lines as needed.
- Distribute and oversee night shift work; attend staff/clinical meetings.
- Serve as preceptor for new staff; participate in training programs.
- Serve as Floor Team Coordinator during emergencies, coordinate evacuations and security, and respond to breaches.
- Inform management and staff about protocol progress and relevant unit functions; provide input on care and practices.
- Complete documents/work related to assessments, procedures, monitoring, medication administration, incident reporting, quality control, consent, staff updates, data entry, and education.

Sun-Thurs 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Compensation
$95,000-$100,000
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Unrestricted and Active Maryland RN license
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience (Research Experience Preferred)
- Phlebotomy and IV placement experience required • Availability to work nights and holidays if needed
