Overview: Department: Radiology Schedule: Per Diem (As needed) Facility: Resurrection Medical Center Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631 Why Work as a Radiology RN at Resurrection Medical Center? Facilitate High-Quality Procedural Care: Manage a diverse caseload in an outpatient imaging environment, focusing on pre- and post-procedural nursing care, conscious sedation monitoring, and patient safety during advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology). Build Meaningful Patient Relationships: Provide vital clinical support, patient education, and compassionate reassurance to patients navigating complex diagnostic procedures and specialized imaging paths. Utilize Specialized Clinical Space: Work in a modern, fully equipped medical imaging department alongside leading radiologists, utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based nursing interventions. Responsibilities: The Radiology Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The Radiology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Radiology Nurse works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinarily team and is responsible for providing the highest quality nursing care and service excellence in the continuum of care. The Radiology Registered Nurse works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures and participation in Performance Improvement activities, department meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS Certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) preferred. 5. One (1) year of acute clinical Radiology Nursing experience preferred. 6. Ventilator Management experience preferred. 7. Conscious Sedation Monitoring competency within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Pay Transparency: Resurrection Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is a flat rate of $43.00 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
