The Patient Safety Attendant (Sitter) works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and provides an environment of safety that gives an alternative to restraints. Is responsible for sitting with and observing an assigned patient.
Provides constant and alert observation for each assigned patient. Protects patient's safety and security by preventing patient harm to self, harm to others, harm from others and flight risk. High school graduate or equivalent required.
