About this role
The Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care services to the patients of our Clinic and the physicians providing their care. In this position, the LPN will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care with a primary focus on administering Prolia injections as prescribed. This position will support the physician and clinical team by preparing patients, reviewing relevant clinical information, administering medications, monitoring patients, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Administer Prolia (denosumab) injections as ordered by the physician. Review patient information, medication orders, and relevant clinical documentation prior to administration. Verify patient identity, medication, dosage, route, and timing according to established protocols.

Assess patients prior to injection and identify any concerns or changes in condition that should be reported to the physician. Monitor patients for potential adverse reactions following medication administration. Educate patients regarding Prolia injections, including dosing schedules, follow-up appointments, and general medication instructions.
Communicate with patients regarding questions, concerns, and post-injection instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medication administration and patient response.
