Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Cardiac Cath Lab Nurses perform special procedures in the outpatient room (i.e. DSE, TEE’s, Cardioversion’s and Tilt’s). In addition to transporting patients to and from the Cath Lab, you will also perform and document care for all admissions and recovery room patients. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!

  • You will administer medications using all routes as ordered
  • Our nurses are required to actively participate in continuing education on the unit
  • You must effectively communicate verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate
  • You will be responsible for all phases of digital/filmless CD system
  • Your role will also serve as a liaison for the Cath Lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intra-departmental relationships

What qualifications you will need

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS & ACLS certification
  • At least one year ICU/CCU or comparable ER, cath lab or recovery experience
