About this role

This position is able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for general medical/surgical patients. Employees who are in the casual position are required to pick up shifts as outlined in the Midland Nursing Casual Employee Policy. Responsibilities include assessing patients/clients needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, providing direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, evaluating effectiveness of treatment plan, processing physician/provider orders, and following up regarding medication changes and order clarifications. Required

certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) within 3 months of hire, DIMC (Dysrhythmia Interpretation) within 12 months of hire, RN (Registered Nurse) licensed in MI, and TEAM ADVANCED (Techniques for Effective Aggression Management) within 6 months of hire. Required

education

Associate's degree in nursing, bachelor's preferred.
