American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position requiring at least 3 years of Level I experience and compact or OK RN licensure.
Details
Float Pool position within a hospital setting
Floats to medical, surgical, medical specialty, hem/onc, and step-down units
May float to NICU for feeder-grower patients
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Requirements
Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 3 years of Level I nursing experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency

Additional Information
Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents care and treatment responses
Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families
Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
Extensions limited to one 26-week term unless otherwise agreed upon, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
