Nurse Supervisor - Nights. The Nurse Supervisor provides supervision of all patient care areas in the hospital. The Nurse Supervisor is required to have a working knowledge of hospital and nursing policies and procedures and the ability to apply independent judgement in their interpretation. The Nurse Supervisor duties include the provision of managerial and clinical links between the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse manager and department direction in their absence. The Nurse Supervisor promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The Nurse Supervisor assumes primary leadership accountability and responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities of other nursing staff. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.

Assesses the patient utilizing the nursing process to formulate an individualized plan of care for each patient, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes consistent with policy. Provides for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with the policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice. Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting, and documentation of the patient's symptoms, responses, and progress. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and Performance Improvement Standards.
Requirements
RN License
Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years Registered Nursing experience
Psychiatric nursing experience required
CPR certification
Behavioral health de-escalation program
Every other weekend
