The Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation Services, is recruiting for a Corrections Nurse 4 located at the Anchorage Central Office in Anchorage, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Development and implementation of correctional nurse education.
  • Coordinate healthcare services with other correctional departments, such as security, mental health, reentry, and education.
  • Work with electronic record keeping for nursing continuing education and compliance maintenance.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team in a leadership role.
  • Continuous maintenance and tracking of nursing education and compliance for greater than 150 staff members.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • Three years of cumulative experience as a Registered Nurse, at least one of which must have involved directing and reviewing the work of lower-level professional nursing staff on a unit and/or shift
