About this role

Location: Nashville, TN. Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas West. Department: Cardiac Operating Room. Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time. 36 hours per week, Guaranteed Hours. Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Monitor compliance of patient safety, quality initiatives, and regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

  • RN License - Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition Compact State
  • BLS Certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire
  • RN License - Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition Compact State
  • BLS Certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
  • Cardiovascular surgery assistance experience
