The primary role of the Rescue Technician includes safety oversight and technical rescue standby, specializing in confined space and technical rope rescue. Responsibilities include assessing risks, preparing rescue equipment, and developing practical, effective solutions to ensure safe working practices in compliance with client standards. Additionally, the technician will actively participate in our safety department team, reviewing permits, monitoring ongoing work, and ensuring that site safety standards are upheld.

In the event of an incident, the Rescue Technician will locate and assess the victim's injuries, package the patient for extrication, remove them from the hazardous environment, and hand them over to EMS for medical attention and transport. The Rescue Technician will also be trained to calibrate and verify the operational status of rescue equipment.

Experience

THE JLN RESCUE TEAM will provide training for confined space and Technical Rescue skills and certification PRIOR TO THE START. Equivalency and experience will be considered.

Schedule

Education

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple project assignments, meet strict deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/EM385/MSHA/NFPA regulations is a plus.
