Basic Job Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license from the state in which you plan to work
- Minimum 1-year experience of RN work experience in acute
- Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
- Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support )

Job Responsibilities
As a ShiftMed registered nurse, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:
- Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels.
- Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures.
- Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders.
- Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery.
- Supervising clinical operations for nursing and clinical care activities.
- Performing assessment data collection in an ongoing, systemic manner.
- Reviewing and evaluating data collected by other healthcare professionals.
- Developing care plans that prescribe nursing actions to achieve patient goals.
- Identifying patient/family learning needs and implementing appropriate processes.
- Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication.
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ongoing flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues.
- Promoting a positive work environment and demonstrating a positive attitude.
