Duties

  • Prepares and assists in the administration of vaccines.
  • Administering vaccines on behalf of Synchrony Pharmacy.
  • Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patents on drug therapies.
  • Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control protocols.
  • Travel including overnight stay as necessary.
  • Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
  • Supports campuses, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
  • Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
  • Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing with the State.
  • Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards

Qualifications

Degree in Nursing, ADN, Diploma, B. S. or M. S. N. degree from an NLN accredited college or university.

Licenses/Certifications

Current unencumbered registered nursing license in the state of practice. Valid CPR certification.

Experience

Five (5) years’ experience in a pharmacy environment preferred. Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred. Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
