What does health insurance cost employees?

What is the deductible for in-network health insurance?

  • By adding a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) on top of your medical health coverage ($1,615 for employee only coverage and $3,230 for employee plus any dependent coverage), Colonial's medical and prescription drug plan feels and acts quite generously:
  • For employee only coverage in the CIGNA network, the practical deductible is $900. After this deductible, there are copays/coinsurance of about 15% until a $5,785 maximum out of pocket is met, which is when all in-network expenses under the plan are fully picked up by the plan.
  • For employee plus any dependent(s) coverage in the CIGNA network, the practical deductible is $1,800. After this deductible, there are copays/coinsurance of about 15% until an $11,570 maximum out of pocket is met, which is when all in-network expenses under the plan are fully picked up by the plan.

How do employees use the HRA?

After your deductible is met, simply use the HRA debit card to pay for health expenses just like you would any other purchase, OR, if you happen to pay with another way, request reimbursement to your bank account quickly and easily online or thru an app.

What other insurance benefits are offered premium-free? ( NO payroll deductions!)

  • Dental coverage thru DeltaDental ($50/$150 deductible, 100% preventative, 80% basic, 50% major, annual maximum benefit per person $1,000)

What retirement benefits are offered? Colonial matches employee contributions. Colonial matches 100% of the first 3% contributed by an employee and 50% of the next 2% contributed by an employee, for a total matching contribution of 4% .
