The Somali Family Safety Task Force (SFSTF) is a nonprofit community-based organization (CBO) located in the New Holly neighborhood in Seattle, WA that serves refugee and immigrant women and their families. *Overview of the Position*

The Program coordinator supports the Program Manager and Executive Director in overseeing programs that serve refugee communities and survivors of domestic violence. This role plays a key part in program coordination, staff support, community engagement, and ensuring high‑quality, culturally responsive, trauma‑informed services. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to strengthening safety, healing, and empowerment for program participants.

*Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Support*

• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of programs serving refugee families and domestic violence survivors.
• Support the Program Manager in ensuring programs meet organizational goals, grant requirements, and community needs.
• Help maintain systems for tracking program outcomes, data collection, and compliance with funder and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to program planning, scheduling, and day‑to‑day operations.

*Community Engagement & Outreach*

• Build and maintain positive relationships with refugee communities, cultural leaders, and partner organizations.
• Support outreach activities to increase awareness of available services.
• Assist in organizing community feedback sessions and incorporating insights into program improvements.

*Staff & Volunteer Support*

• Assist with onboarding, training, and supporting program staff, volunteers, and interns.
• Help coordinate schedules, team communication, and workflow.
• Promote a supportive, inclusive, and trauma‑informed team environment.

*Collaboration & Advocacy Support*

• Represent SFSTF in meetings, coalitions, and community events as needed.
• Support partnerships with government agencies, nonprofits, and community groups.
• Assist in efforts to address systemic barriers impacting program participants.

*Monitoring, Reporting & Grant Support*

• Assist with collecting, organizing, and reporting program data to funders, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Support grant writing, reporting, and documentation to sustain program funding.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards.

*QualificationsEducation & Experience*

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, International Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, case management, community services, or related work.
• Experience working with refugee communities or domestic violence survivors is strongly preferred.

*Skills & Competencies*

• Understanding of refugee resettlement, domestic violence dynamics, and trauma‑informed care.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and across cultural contexts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

*Preferred*

• Proficiency in languages spoken by local refugee communities (e.g., Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Somali).
• Familiarity with local and federal policies affecting refugees and survivors of domestic violence.

*Work Environment & Conditions*

• Primarily office‑based with regular travel to program sites, partner organizations, and community events.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
