About this role

*We are seeking nurses who desire to work within our residential treatment center. The ideal candidates would preferably, yet not necessarily, have a working knowledge of eating disorders and related psychiatric and medical treatment interventions.*

Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing assessment and nursing plan of care upon admission
  • Complete weekly nursing assignments and pain assessment
  • Administer all medications
  • Work closely with the Medical and Psychiatric provider in carrying out all orders
  • Schedule appropriate appointments (e.g., lab, radiology, bone density) for the patients
  • Evaluate all weekly lab results and communicate them to Medical/Psychiatric provider
  • Work closely with the clinical team in implementing treatment interventions
  • Provide meal support to patients.
  • Provide psychiatric support
  • Converse with family members
  • Maintain timely documentation within the EMR
  • Dispense medication according to sound practices
  • Communicate in real time with various department personnel
  • Maintain a positive team atmosphere and approach within the treatment setting

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey RN or LPN state license
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; ADN, BSN or AAS degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, eating disorders and working with adolescent populations is preferred
  • Ability to facilitate a calm demeanor within the milieu
  • Current BLS certification

  • RN $41.00-$45.00 per hour
