Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including monitoring, assessment, and documentation of evolving conditions.
  • Float between two medical-surgical/telemetry units and provide MS overflow coverage in ICU and ED as needed.
  • Administer medications and therapies per policy, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and communicate with the care team for coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient care policies while maintaining professional standards during night shifts.

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Hawaii) or eligibility for Hawaii licensure
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required
  • Ability to float between MS/Tele units and provide MS overflow coverage in ICU/ED
  • Night shift availability and flexibility to adapt to a travel assignment
  • Relevant Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in acute care settings
  • Strong communication and patient-centered care skills
