Director of Operations - RN

• Provide strategic leadership for nursing operations across multiple care settings including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice, and memory care facilities.

• Oversee clinical staff management, including nurse management, supervising licensed nurses, and supporting staff development through coaching and training.

• Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA privacy rules, and other federal/state regulatory standards.

• Develop, review, and implement care plans tailored to residents’ needs while ensuring adherence to resident’s rights and quality standards.

• Manage documentation review processes including medical records, medical terminology accuracy, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and clinical documentation in EMR/EHR systems.

• Monitor shift management to optimize staffing levels for patient care delivery while maintaining budgetary efficiency.

• Lead efforts in regulatory audits, quality assurance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate care standards.

• Facilitate effective communication between clinical teams, administration, residents’ families, and external agencies to ensure seamless operations.

Skills

• Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies or hospice care with a strong understanding of long-term care regulations.

• Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing administration or healthcare management roles.

• Deep knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy relevant to elderly or chronic care populations.

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management.

• Strong understanding of resident’s rights policies and compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.

• Ability to manage multiple teams effectively across shifts while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

• Familiarity with Medicare regulations, MDS assessments, and documentation requirements for reimbursement purposes.
