$95,929-$153,483 based on years of experience

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and management of designated Rehab Program including functions of planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting, and directing assigned unit(s) in order to ensure that quality patient care is provided. These responsibilities and specific duties are performed in a manner consistent with corporate values and principles.

As a Program Director you will

The employee also feels responsible for doing a good job. Can also lead others when necessary. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit. Monitors and adheres to budget.

Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines Works in a constant state of alertness and safety-mindedness Responsible for ensuring a collaborative management approach and coordination of interdisciplinary, intercampus state-of-the-art programs and cost effective operations to meet patient care needs within a best practice model Regularly meets with staff at all levels to enhance communication as well as the quality of the work experience at the hospital. Assists in monitoring and developing internal processes and makes changes as needed to continuously enhance service delivery and improve cost effective operations Assists in monitoring financial reports and assesses variances taking action as needed to meet budgetary objectives Assists in establishing performance goals, allocating resources and providing supervision for staff Participates in internal teams and/or committees and external meetings as required to benefit the organization. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of the latest trends in healthcare Requires effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external customers and to instruct the departmental personnel.

Requires leadership skills to guide assigned unit(s) operations and to actively participate on various committees both inter- and intradepartmental. Requires a high level of analytical ability to develop plans and objectives for assigned unit(s), and to integrate activities with other departments. Requires high level of accuracy to recognize errors and instruct personnel.

Requires knowledge of basic management and scientific principles including care planning, case management, and documentation systems. Requires knowledge of financial processes and responsibility for the department's financial viability. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will have experience in hospital operations, revenue enhancement, and expense control. The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to authentic leadership, outstanding customer service and continuing program development in a dynamic and highly competitive healthcare market. Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field Minimum of five years’ experience in the healthcare industry Clinical experience in a rehabilitation discipline (OT, PT, SLP or RN).

The ability to assist in building a culture of excellence through attracting, developing and retaining hardworking employees Current Illinois licensure or ability to obtain prior to start Certified BLS completed on date of hire required
