Travel RN - Psychiatric

Assignment Overview Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: May 26, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Unit requiring experience with involuntary status patients and a valid NH or compact RN license.

Details Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Unit in a hospital setting Day/Night rotation schedule, 36 hours per week Adult psychiatric patient population with higher acuity cases Patient ratio of 1:6–7 Experience with restraint chairs is preferred Epic EMR used; familiarity is a plus Schedules are posted approximately 4–6 weeks in advance Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required BLS certification required AVADE, MOAB, or CPI training required (must be completed prior to assignment) Experience with Involuntary Emergency Admissions (IEA) and involuntary status patients required Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required 2 managerial references required for consideration Additional Information Team-based, patient-centered care model Provides care within a collaborative nursing team structure Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
