Role Summary
The Registered Nurse provides clinical evaluation, prescribing (as permitted), follow-up care, and ongoing patient management for weight loss patients, including GLP-1 therapy. You’ll work closely with our care team to drive safe outcomes, patient retention, and an excellent patient experience.

*Key Responsibilities*
*Clinical Care*
- Conduct initial consults (medical history, weight/lifestyle assessment, contraindications).
- Order/interpret labs as appropriate and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Prescribe and manage anti-obesity medications per protocol and scope.
- Manage side effects, titration schedules, and medication education.
- Provide lifestyle counseling and document goals/progress.
*Patient Follow-Up & Retention*
- Ensure continuity of care.
- Reinforce adherence, address barriers, and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with sales/support team to ensure patients reorder on time and stay engaged.
*Compliance & Documentation*
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the EMR.
- Follow clinic protocols, state scope rules, HIPAA, and best practices.
- Support audits, chart reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
*Team Collaboration*
- Coordinate with patient coordinators, MAs/RNs, and admin staff.
- Participate in team huddles and workflow improvements.
- Contribute to clinical protocols and patient education materials.
*Qualifications*
- Active RN in New York State (ANCC/AANP certified).
- Experience in outpatient medicine (primary care, endocrinology, obesity medicine, women’s health, etc.) preferred.
- Strong comfort with patient counseling and follow-up-based care.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Telehealth competence and willingness to follow standardized protocols.
Preferred
- Obesity medicine, endocrinology, or metabolic health experience.
- Experience managing weight-loss therapy and side effect mitigation.
- Comfort in a high-growth environment (process-driven, metrics-aware).
