About this role
Provides nursing support to Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”) Christian Learning Center (“CLC”).
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare to students and staff who become ill or injured during the school day
- Follow action plans and physician orders to include but not limited to medication (routine & emergency) and all necessary documentation
- Maintain accurate record of state mandated requirements including immunizations
- Assure CLC health services and activities are appropriately documented
- Participate in development and implementation of health promotion activities
- Assist with disease prevention including student and staff education
- Implement communicable disease control at CLC including monitoring, surveillance, excluding students from CLC environment and reporting to state when applicable
- Assess, order and stock medical supplies
- Adhere to HIPAA and all confidentiality rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and teaching ministry
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
- Valid Texas nursing license
- CPR/AED Certification
- One year nursing experience required
- Strong organization, communication interpersonal skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office
- Able to work Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, use of stairs, and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
