About this role

The Registered Nurse role involves performing a range of nursing duties in a unique outpatient facility, providing access to unscheduled care for patients with minor to critical conditions.

Responsibilities include accurately triaging and discharging patients of all ages, managing medications, performing wound care, splinting, and applying dressings.

Proficiency in EKGs and cardiac monitoring, recognizing arrhythmias, and preparing procedures such as I&D, suturing, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placements is essential.

The role requires effective communication, delegation to staff, initiating evaluation orders when needed, referencing patient records and protocols via organizational software, and supporting team leadership.

Compliance with information security policies and contributing to quality care are vital.

Qualifications include an associate's degree, a minimum of 3+ years of recent ICU and ER experience, and active Florida RN licensure with ACLS and PALS certifications.

Skills needed are independence, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physical stamina for long shifts, and proficiency in clinical procedures.

Preferred candidates have more ER experience. The position is based in Tampa area, with a schedule of three shifts per week, including every other weekend, operating Monday through Sunday during daytime hours.
