About this role
Provides general nursing care to patients in a medical office or clinic.
Duties may include administering prescribed medications and treatments, preparing examination rooms and equipment, aiding physician or other health professionals during treatments and examinations, alerting supervisor or physicians to unusual patient conditions or reactions, and taking and recording vital signs. May act as team leader for subordinate nursing staff.
Minimum qualifications Bachelors degree in nursing or a diploma from an accredited school of nursing, and licensed as a registered nurse in New York State. Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
