Prepares Patients For Healthcare Provider Visits By Taking Patient's History, Vital Signs, Current Medications, Allergies, And Reasons For Visit. Documents Information In Patient's Record. Assists Healthcare Provider With Examinations, Treatments, And Procedures. 10% - Patient Care

Utilizes the nursing process to screen, assess, and provide patient care in a nurse triage clinic. Recognizes signs and symptoms of physical and emotional illness. Orders lab tests and initiates treatments consistent with clinical guidelines and standing orders. Treats patients for minor injuries and illnesses. Functions as terminal provider as dictated by Nursing Standing Orders. Functions as a patient advocate and provides patient education. Promotes wellness through activities directed towards prevention and risk reduction. Establishes and maintains confidence and cooperation of patients. 10% - Patient Preparation:

Required

Performs prescribed medication administration, monitoring, and treatment to patients. Administers immunizations required by Clemson University. Provides a safe environment 10% - Professional Development:

Maintains individual nursing competencies and stays abreast of emerging trends in college health and higher education. Assumes responsibility of actions and judgments.

Compensation Information

Expected Salary Range

$52,000.00 - $63,240.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Essential Personnel Level

Emergency Response - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is required to respond in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on call.
