About this role
Summary
The RN - Medical Emergency/Rapid Response is responsible for assessing and determning intervention to patients in a variety of settings. The RN will provide interventional and supportive care to all patients appropriate to age and developmental level in response to a emergent call by physician, nurse, other hospital employee, or family member. The RN may provide evaluation and consultation on patients outlined as high risk per hospital policy with unit debriefing/education on any patient intervention performed.
Additionally, the RN may assist in data collection and reporting of quality indicators to appropriate hospital committees and physician led groups and educate/promote other staff on utilization of the Team.
Requirements
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing program. Minimum two years critical care experience.
Licenses and
Certifications
Valid and active RN licensure in appropriate state.
BLS, ACLS, PALS NRP required dependent upon area.
