American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Cardiac Stepdown RN requiring a KS or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent telemetry experience with TR bands and cardiac drips.

Details

  • Work in a Cardiac Telemetry unit (Unit 4N) within an acute care hospital setting
  • 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 3 days per week
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required to all acute care units based on facility needs
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active KS or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required
  • 2-5 years of Telemetry experience preferred
  • Experience managing TR Bands immediately post-procedure required
  • Experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Bumetanide, Lasix, Cardizem) required
  • Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process required

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry and cardiac stepdown nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Facility is a nicotine-free campus
  • Holiday coverage required for one shift from each of the following groups: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year's Eve or Day
  • Orientation includes multi-day training across campuses, including virtual Epic training
  • Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate for this campus
