Travel RN - Psychiatric

Details 26-bed inpatient adult behavioral health unit in an acute care hospital setting Primary patient population is geriatric psych (55+), with dementia and bipolar disorder among the most common diagnoses Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 Unit has a seclusion room; no 1:1 staffing available at this time Charting is performed in Epic 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Every third weekend required at minimum Holiday coverage required Floating may be required to med/surg and possibly OB; experience floating outside of psych is highly preferred No telemetry or on-call requirements on this unit Requirements Active UT or Compact (NLC) RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted Current BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certifications will not be accepted Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BSN is not required Driver's license required for consideration Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years; both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates Additional Information Orientation consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts on the unit; candidates must be present in state during orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely Solid color scrubs required; no printed patterns RNs at this Arizona facility are required to pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam before an offer can be confirmed RNs will be assessed on sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on the first day of orientation (pass/fail) Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
