The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual’s educational preparation and nursing experience, and for providing nursing services as ordered on patient plan of care. Report’s problems/potential problems to RN/Case Manager.

  • Participation in the nursing process by providing input to the client’s plane of care.
  • Implementing the care plan as written.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of care plan, make recommendations for revisions as appropriate.
  • Records all pertinent observations and treatments as per Agency policies.
  • Provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of the client.
  • Perform nursing procedures for which he/she has been trained.
  • Notify appropriate person about unusual symptoms and/or changes in condition of clients.
  • Participate in case conferences, meeting and performance improvement activities as assigned.
  • Provides proof of current license by the State of Florida.
  • Provides necessary information to verify education and work experiences.
  • Practices safely and competently with the job description.
  • Complies with all state regulatory acts.
  • Complies with all Agency policies and procedures including HIPPA Privacy Rules.
  • Provides documentation of high-tech certification if appropriate; performs duties as qualified/authorized.
  • Maintains patient/business confidentiality.

Regulatory Requirements

Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Florida.

  • Must have minimum one-year current experience in accredited hospital or accredited nursing home with two years previous to employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and without immediate supervision.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish or Creole preferred.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
