About this role

The Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for their Older Adult Inpatient unit. We provide holistic, quality trauma informed care for our specialized patient population. Nursing duties include assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with a wide range of behavioral health issues. Shift is 40 hours, 5 eight-hour day shifts 7:00am-3:30pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays.

Requirements

  • CT RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - new grads welcome
  • Successful completion of nurse residency upon hire, if applicable
  • CT RN license required upon starting
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate information in English
