The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities include maintaining practice standards, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring quality nursing services within organizational policies. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred. New graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred. Valid RN license and BLS certification required. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area, such as ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, or NRP, with some certifications needed within specified timeframes. Specialized certifications and training are necessary for units like Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Dialysis, Emergency, Oncology, Pediatrics, Surgical Services, and Women’s Services.
