Overview

The Registered Nurse Ortho Trauma provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, monitoring, administering medications, and educating patients and families. Collaborating with the healthcare team, the nurse ensures safe, personalized care aligned with clinical standards and organizational values.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, promptly reporting changes. Perform procedures, monitor responses, and document care thoroughly. Administer prescribed medications and respond to adverse reactions. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs. Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications & Skills

BSN required or enrolled in a program with a BSN within five years of hire; RN with 10+ years of experience are exempt. Current RN licensure with the appropriate state board and BLS certification. Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred; national certification in specialty is a plus. Strong communication, compassionate care delivery, and teamwork skills.
