Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Monday–Friday | No Weekends | No Call

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing ambulatory surgery center in the Athens, GA area. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking to work in a fast-paced, collaborative ASC environment while enjoying a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.

The center operates approximately 5 OR suites and provides a streamlined surgical environment focused on high-quality patient care and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
Complete patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and pre-op preparation
Monitor patients during recovery and assess readiness for discharge
Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative needs
Provide patient and family education and discharge instructions
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, OR nurses, and surgical techs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Follow ASC policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols

Qualifications

Active Georgia RN license
Previous Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred
ASC or perioperative experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
BLS required; ACLS preferred
