Position

Overview

The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for assisting and consulting with the Chief Clinical Officer to provide leadership, direction, growth, outreach, and administration of Hospice operations and to ensure accomplishment of strategic objectives. The Director is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating activities of various clinical Hospice patient care services.

Minimum

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurses License
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
  • MSN, MHA, or MBA or four years of suitable management/ supervisory experience and four years of clinical
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience (hospice, home health preferred) with a minimum of two years of management/ supervisory experience.
  • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing must be attained within three years of employment.
  • Experience in program development, coordination, and management.
  • Access to transportation
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly electronic health records.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Hospice Care concepts and philosophies.
  • Ability to communicate and respond effectively with patients, families, and others in both routine and crisis situations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to large and small groups.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices applicable to the clinical setting.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $115,375-$168,248/year

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Vacation: Accrued each pay period based on your hours worked.
  • Sick Leave: Accrued in accordance with Washington State Sick Leave Law.
  • Wellness Days: After completion of the 90-day introductory period, employees may convert up to two (2) accrued sick days annually into wellness days.
  • Paid Holidays: Ten (10) paid agency observed holidays per year, available upon hire.
  • Bereavement Leave: Three (3) days for the loss of an immediate family member. Two (2) days for the loss of a household pet or service animal.

  • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.72 per mile, for eligible positions. (Subject to change based on IRS rates)

  • Tuition Assistance: Up to $5,250 annually after one (1) year of employment.
