About this role
36 hour day shift nurse at Backus Hospital on A2, a 29-bed unit providing care to medical-surgical, inpatient oncology, and hematology patients. Every other weekend and holiday. Demonstrates clinical competence through utilization of the nursing process and development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship. Assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements and evaluates care provided to patients.

Requirements
- Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred One year RN experience Current unrestricted State of CT Registered Nurse license Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Oncology Nurse (ONC) certification preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.
