The Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation at Amherst is a 134-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility dedicated to providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are currently seeking experienced, motivated, and energetic Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team for our 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM evening shift.

Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse on our 3p–11p shift, you will play a vital role in overseeing resident care during evening operations, supervising nursing assistants, coordinating treatments, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and resident safety are maintained.

Responsibilities are performed in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight for residents during the 3p–11p shift

Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants and other nursing staff

Assess resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status

Maintain and update individualized resident care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered care accurately and efficiently

Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately

Complete thorough and timely nursing documentation

Review resident records daily for accuracy and completeness

Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Ensure residents receive compassionate, dignified, and high-quality care always

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – NEW GRADUATES WELCOME

Current CPR certification required

Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred

Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related healthcare setting preferred

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Schedule Information

Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available (Full-Time: 40 or 32 hours, Part-Time: 24 or 16 hours)

Every other weekend required

Compensation & Benefits

Starting rate: $43.00 per hour
