Department: Neurology
Schedule: Weekend shift l Full-time

Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to neurology patients, performing comprehensive neuro assessments and monitoring for changes in neurological status. Develop and implement individualized care plans, accurately document patient condition, and respond promptly to acute events such as stroke symptoms or seizure activity. Coordinate interdisciplinary care with neurologists, rehab services, and case management to ensure seamless treatment progression and safe discharge planning. Maintain a dedicated weekend night schedule (Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) to ensure continuity of care, eligible for specialized weekend incentive pay and

shift differentials.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
