Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with neuro/telemetry needs in the med-surg setting, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
- Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status, respond to alarms, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and document patient progress accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate admissions/discharges, and participate in care planning.
- May assume expanded roles as needed, including charge nurse duties, precepting new staff, and contributing to unit quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Eligible to work in the United States
Education
