Position Overview

The Registered Nurse assesses, manages, and provides nursing care during a patient’s hospital stay, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams through a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive and ongoing assessments, including admission, post-op, and discharge needs.
  • Develops and evaluates individualized care plans incorporating best practices and patient goals.
  • Administers medications, monitors IV therapy, and requests consultations as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring safety and confidentiality.
  • Documents care, evaluates patient responses, and adjusts plans accordingly.
  • Provides specialized high-risk patient care, including restraint and pain management, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Maintains professional accountability, adheres to policies, participates in quality improvement, and fosters a collaborative team environment.
  • Delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Ensures safety, infection control, and environmental organization in line with standards.
  • Provides service excellence by demonstrating courtesy, effective communication, and resourcefulness.
  • Engages in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and ongoing education.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current RN license in the applicable state(s).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and work in a fast-paced hospital setting.
