As an RN, Float Pool you’ll play a vital role in caring for complex patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, professional environment.

How you’ll contribute

A RN who excels in this role

Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care. Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).

If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate degree in nursing required. Basic Life Support certification is required.

ACLS American Heart Association or must be obtained within three (3) months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire. Must have two (2) years hospital nursing experience in ICU and/or Emergency Department required.
