Essential Functions include utilizing the ANA Nursing Process to collect comprehensive data, analyze assessment data, identify expected outcomes, develop plans, implement identified plans, coordinate care delivery, employ health teaching and promotion, provide consultation, and evaluate progress toward outcomes. Follows ANA Standards of Professional Performance including enhancing quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, attaining knowledge and competency, evaluating nursing practice, collaborating with patients and families, integrating ethical provisions, integrating research findings, considering safety factors, providing leadership, and practicing in an environmentally safe manner.
