Great Heights OTP is a licensed opioid treatment program serving patients in Ottawa and Calumet City. We are hiring a part-time RN or LPN for our Ottawa dispensing window.

This is a focused, predictable role. You dispense medication, document it accurately, and you’re done before most people start their day. No floor assignments, no lifting, no call lights.

Schedule

  • 2–3 weekday mornings per week, Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
  • Every other Saturday, 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. — Saturdays paid at base rate plus $10/hour weekend differential ($40–$44/hour)
  • Set, recurring schedule — you’ll know your shifts in advance
  • We are planning to expand our dispensing hours. Candidates with open daytime availability will be given priority and can expect additional hours as that schedule grows.

What you’ll do

  • Dispense methadone and other medications for opioid use disorder per physician orders
  • Verify patient identity and dose before every administration
  • Document each administration in our electronic system at the time of service
  • Perform medication counts and reconcile inventory
  • Observe and report patient concerns to the Medical Director

What we’re looking for

  • Current, unencumbered Illinois RN or LPN license
  • Current BLS or CPR certification
  • Comfortable working in an electronic health record — you’ll be entering every dose in our system, and accurate same-day documentation is essential to this role
  • Reliable at an early start. Patients are waiting at the window; this shift has no workaround.
  • Prior OTP, controlled substance, or medication administration experience is a plus, but we will train the right person
  • Able to pass a background check, healthcare registry check, and pre-employment screening

Why work here

  • $30–$34 per hour based on licensure and experience, plus $10/hour weekend differential — Saturdays pay $40–$44/hour
  • Short, defined shifts — in and out before 8 a.m. most days
  • No floor work, no lifting, no nights
  • Small, steady team; you’ll know your coworkers and your patients
  • Meaningful work with a patient population that needs consistent care
