We are seeking an experienced *Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)* with a background in gastroenterology or hepatology to join our team two days per week. The ideal candidate is confident managing complex liver patients and interested in participating in clinical research initiatives.

This role offers autonomy, collaboration with a hepatology-focused team, and the opportunity to expand hours and responsibilities as the practice grows.

*What You’ll Do*

*Clinical Responsibilities*

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and follow-up visits for liver and GI patients
  • Manage chronic liver diseases (e.g., cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver disease)
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide patient counseling and disease education
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physician and multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives

*Research Coverage*

  • Conduct research patient visits per study protocols
  • Assist with screening, enrollment, and documentation
  • Support data collection and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Contribute to advancing innovative liver therapies

*Qualifications*

  • Active PA or NP license (state-specific)
  • Experience in gastroenterology and/or hepatology strongly preferred
  • Comfortable managing liver disease independently with physician collaboration
  • Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
  • Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
